Boxcar Hippie might be one of Rochester’s most exciting new places to eat. Championship Dining’s Justin Schoville and Leann Zubay had an idea to bring a burrito joint to the basement of the Porch Fried Chicken building, with a 70s/80s ‘hippie’ vibe. They had most of the branding strategy ready, but needed some professional help to bring it to life.
We worked quickly to help them bring Boxcar Hippie to the people as soon as possible. Our process basically consisted of moodboarding their vision, sketching out some logo concepts, polishing up the logo, wrapping it with color and typography treatments, and bam – new company launched! It was time to eat some burritos… quite possibly the best (and definitely the biggest) in town.
It’s amazing how quickly things can come together when there’s a clear vision and the process is enjoyable. Boxcar Hippie was such a fun project to work on, and we hope it comes through in the final product you’ll see every day!
